Background
Early Life
Wulf was born in 1887 in a rural village in The German Empire as a human. At the early age of 8, he was attacked by a feral(mindless) werewolf when he was playing with his dog in the forest near the village. Luckily for Wulf, his dog defended its owner until the villagers arrived, having heard the screams of terror of a kid, but not before being bitten by the werewolf. The villagers managed to kill the beast and bring back Wulf to his family, mostly safe and sound. In the following weeks the boy was observed extensively, and when it was confirmed that he was indeed infected with lycanthropy, the villagers gathered around to discuss what to do with the boy. After much consideration, which among other things included the fact that the werewolf was feral and didn't seem to belong to any family, the fact the Wulf was still a kid and was still at the age where he could potentially(if raised right) overcome his "evils", and the fact that his father was a rather respectable member of the community, it was decided the boy would be allowed to stay in the village, but he and his family will be under constant watch. In the following years as Wulf grew, the villagers saw that he was raised properly and posed no danger, and thus watching over his education was no longer deemed necessary. As he grew, he learned to hone his skills as a werewolf and gained the trust and respect of the villagers. He started helping the village's hunter, and was in turn mentored by him and taught the art of the hunt, and with the years became quite a proficient hunter by himself.
When Wulf was 19 years old, the village was attacked by a young werewolf, and using both his hunting skills and his abilities, he managed to best and trap the attacker. The werewolf was quite surprised by this, and demanded to know which family Wulf belonged to. He asked to be freed in return for "Never returning to Wulf's hunting grounds again" only to be even further surprised to find out that Wulf wasn't part of any family, and was instead raised by humans. When realizing this wasn't Wulf's hunting grounds, but instead his home, he promised that if Wulf sets him free he will never try to hunt anybody from Wulf's village again. Wulf chose to free the attacker, but not being able to trust him completely, he started patrolling the village at night, and checking for any footprints or traces around the forest. A few months later, he met a lonely traveler, who presented himself as a member of the family of the werewolf who Wulf freed a while ago, and that they are interested in meeting Wulf. The traveler assured Wulf, and promised that if Wulf agrees to meet with them, they will make sure to stay away from the village. Reluctantly Wulf agreed.
Meeting with the family, the elders were quite surprised and impressed by Wulf. As although the werewolf Wulf defeated was young, he was still about twice the age of Wulf and had much more experience as a werewolf. Wulf was offered to join the family, and promised that his village would be left outside of their hunting grounds. Wulf declined the offer, saying that he much prefers his life as a human, but asked to keep friendly relations with the family as an outsider instead. The elders, after a bit of consideration, agreed and promised he would always be welcome as a guest, and that his people would not be touched. Thus Wulf returned to the village and stayed living there, occasionally visiting the other werewolves and even getting some new friends within their ranks.
